There is a tab at the top which says Ulaanbaatar 2010. There is also a list of all games. Click on any game you would like to see with full computer analysis. Then if you want to see another game, simply click the tab Ulaanbaatar 2010 and it will bring you back to the main menu. Click on another game you would like to see and there it is. If you would like to see a previous game, just click on that specific tab.

FIDE President at the International Sports Forum in Moscow

Today, July 30, within the framework of the International Sports Forum “Russia – Country of Sports” in Moscow from 29 July to 1 August, Head of Republic of Kalmykia, FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov participated in the meeting of the President of Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev with the heads of international sports federations: Denis Oswald (President of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations, President of the International Rowing Federation), Ren? Fasel (President of the Association of Winter Olympic International Federations, President of the International Ice Hockey Federation), George Killian (President of the International University Sports Federation), John Fahey (President of the World Anti-Doping Agency), Jos? Perurena Lopez (President of the International Canoe Federation) and others.
During the meeting, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov gave a brief report. On behalf of FIDE Presidential Board, which was just held in Tromso from 23 to 26 July, FIDE President officialy invited Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to participate in the opening ceremony of the 39th World Chess Olympiad which will be held in Khanty-Mansiysk from September till October this year and to make the first symbolic move.
In addition, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov addressed in his speech to the heads of international sports federations with the proposal to support the inclusion of chess in the Olympic games. It should be noted that this proposal has found support among the influential leaders of international sports federations.

Ulaanbaatar Women FIDE Grand Prix – Round One – Koneru, Zhao Xue and Chiburdanidze starting with victories

The 5th Women FIDE Grand Prix chess tournament is taking place 30th July to 11th August in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The opening ceremony was held on the Sukhbaatar Square, in the main government district, which was a privilege that no other sport event enjoyed before. One day earlier, a foundation for the FIDE Chess Academy was laid on the outskirts of Mongolia capitol.

Wojtaszek and Fressinet Leading in Pamplona – 4th International Chess Tournament A.D. San Juan, 24th July to 1st August

The round robin with 10 players is the main event, and so far seven rounds have been played. Grandmasters Radoslaw Wojtaszek and Laurent Fressinet are currently leading with five points each, full point ahead of the group of chasers. It is interesting that during the 2008 World Chess Championship in Bonn, Wojtaszek and Fressinet assisted the preparation of Anand and Kramnik respectively.

Even though I was an outsider from the other side of the world, I never felt as such because of the fantastic team and was made to feel at home. I learned a great deal on how the Turkish Chess Federation performs their flawless execution of high profile events.
